Kuala Lumpur Condominium, Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR CONDOMINIUM | Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR Condominium is a project we completed on a tight budget.
The original floor layout of the condominium featured a limited kitchen space. To improve functionality, we relocated the sliding doors to the yard, creating extended counter area and optimizing the kitchen’s usability. We also designed a timber portal that integrates the kitchen cabinets, lighting, and entrance lobby, visually enlarging the kitchen and clearly defining zones within the space.
The living and dining areas are enhanced with full-length wall panelling and plaster ceiling, outfitted with concealed and cove lighting to accentuate the linearity and continuity of the two spaces, hence making the spaces more spacious. The lightings are carefully choreographed to create varying moods and ambience, tailored to the users’ needs across different times and occasions.
In the master bedroom, the wardrobe is designed with a hidden door leading to the en suite. A full-length window seating area provides a cozy reading nook, with built-in storage beneath. Instead of fixed furniture, we custom-designed a loose bed frame, vanity table, and cabinet to offer the owner flexibility to rearrange the space as desired. The bed frame is incorporated with dimmable lightings and shelves, catering for bedtime reading, nighttime convenience, and additional storage.
The walls and basin counter in the master bath are finished with travertine. The counter-sunk basin is equipped with a cabinet below and a mirror above, which conceals extra storage space behind it.
We endeavoured to merge functionality with aesthetics, crafting a warm spatial experience and refined ambience at Kuala Lumpur Condominium – a home designed to complement the owner’s lifestyle and provide a serene retreat from the bustle of daily life.
